Ben is back at Fairhaven for Grade 10. The Watcher has given him a strange Grade 9 student as his new room mate. Mack seems to know things without being told. He knows that Ben is having trouble with his dragon parentage. He knows that something must be done or Ben will die.
Mariah Templeton wants to send Ben to his mother’s home world for lessons on how to transform into a dragon safely, but her connection with the Dragonian Watcher is gone. Finally, with no other choice she sends Ben through the portal not knowing what will wait for him on the other side.
