This scene was one of my favourites to both sketch and to create as a final animation. When thinking about worlds the first image that comes to mind are strange alien planets. Of course the scene is only a loose interpretation of what would be possible in reality but the close proximity of each planet in the scene signifies to me how easy it is to travel to each of the worlds through portals.
The image of Saturn and our own earth were provided by NASA of course. The other four planets were created in my go to choice of software for photo editing, Photoshop. The stars and nebulous space was used as a backdrop and then the planets were animated in Adobe after effects.
