If you were to create a world what would it be like? Lushaka is a world of water where there is very little land and what land there is, is dangerous. The humans and the merfolk who live there have a long history of conflict with one another. When the Mer King decides that humans can no longer fish it creates a real crisis for the human community. Most of their food comes from the sea. The few animals they raise on the lily pads that surround the giant trees they live in are not enough to sustain them. The humans have no choice but to prepare for war.
