The making of BTD promo video – Part 8 Lushaka

Have you ever faced your nightmares? In this scene Ben faces his. After stepping through the portal to Lushaka Ben is plunged into a new world, one full of his worst fear; water.

This is another scene that made the most sense to show from above. I wanted to give the viewer a sense of a never-ending ocean of water with a small boy desperately trying to stay above it. In the book Ben has a gym bag that helps him stay afloat but I chose not to include this item in the scene – it would have been too distracting.

Tasting the sweet water of Lushaka is only the beginning of what lies ahead for Ben. His adventure has just begun.
